Pastor Loescher graduated from high school at Shoreland Lutheran in Somers, Wisconsin. He graduated from Martin Luther College with High Disctinction, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. From there he went on to study at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. He spent the third of his four years of study there serving as a vicar at Trinity Orthodox Lutheran Church in Sierra Vista, Arizona, under the tutelage of the Rev. Fr. Steven D. Spencer. In 2011 he graduated and recieved the Seminary’s Master of Divinity Degree, declaring him an eligible candidate for the Holy Ministry. On May 19th of that year, he recieved a divine call through the Conference of Presidents to serve as pastor at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Sacramento, California.

Hi Barb, I’m new to the area, but I love all things in nature and especially salmon fishing. Your blog intrigues me. I’m hoping to spend more time this next year enjoying this God’s wonderful creation. Pastor Loescher

If you are new to the area, do you mean the Sierra Foothills? Would you want to take a trip salmon fishing? Or, just plain fishing to sit and enjoy nature, and to share in God’s bounty?

I actually live in south Sacramento, and I’m new to California. I had done a lot of fishing back in Wisconsin where I’m from, and some salmon fishing in the harbors and tributaries of Lake Michigan. I’m hoping to try the American River this season–it looks beautiful!
